1. Create a Storage Supplies “Tool Box”

Packing would be a lot easier if you had all of your supplies in one place, on hand as you are packing up your belongings. Gather all the supplies you need ahead of time from Vault Storage Co. We sell storage supplies from boxes to bubble wrap at all of our facilities, so you never have to feel unprepared when storing with us. And when you buy from us during the month of October, we will donate a percentage of your purchase to Susan G. Komen in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Once you have your supplies, put them in a bag that you can bring with you to your storage unit or just through your house as you are packing and disassembling. 

2. Check the Quality of Your Boxes Before Packing 

Are your boxes going to break within minutes of packing them? Hopefully not. But you should always check the quality of your boxes before you pack items into them, especially if you are using boxes that are years old or that you got from friends. If your box is packed too full with heavy items, the bottom could bust open, or you could end up getting hurt trying to lift it. A good rule to follow is packing heavy objects in small boxes and light objects in big boxes. It helps to better spread the weight in a manageable way.
