Does renting storage units with Vault Storage require rental protection?
Yes. You need rental protection for renting any kind of self storage with Vault Storage. You can provide your own, as long as you give us proof of your protection plan with your storage rental paperwork. If you do not have your own, we have a selection of protection plans available for purchase. Talk to our storage experts to determine the best plan for your situation.
What discounts do you offer?
Everyone has the opportunity for discounts with us! When you are a tenant with us and you refer a friend, you each receive $50 off your next storage rental. Additionally, customers ages 65+ can receive our Senior Discount of 5% off monthly. And active duty military members can receive 10% off monthly—thank you for your service! How can I pay my bill online?
For convenience, you can access your account and pay for your bill at the top of our website. On our home page at the top, there is a button that says, “Pay Bill.” Click it and login to see your storage units. From there, you can manage your account, pay your bill for this month, or prepay for the next month.
Can I reach someone after hours?
Yes. Call the Vault Storage facility closest to you and press “1” to speak with a live representative.
What storage unit size do I need?
The best storage unit size for you to rent will depend on your storage needs. For a quick answer, visit our online storage calculator. It will ask you to mark off the items you want to store, and then it will use its approximate sizing for those items to calculate the storage unit size that would best protect your items.
Are locks provided?
At Vault Storage, we sell packing supplies in each of our storage offices. You can swing in to stock up on locks, boxes, furniture covers, and different kinds of packing kits. Taking appropriate precautions when packing up your boxes for storage will ensure you return to see your items in the same excellent condition.
Can I rent storage units short-term?
Renting storage with Vault Storage is flexible. We offer month-by-month leases to avoid unnecessary long contracts. Short-term storage is ideal for packing away seasonal equipment and holiday decorations, making space for warm- or cold-weather clothes in your closet, keeping valuables secure during a trip, and so much more.
Do you have movers?
No. Our storage facilities do not offer movers. You can check our list of Neighborhood Friends at the bottom of each storage facility’s rental page to see if they have a local moving company they can recommend. Neighborhood Friends are businesses near our storage locations that we have built relationships with and trust to recommend to our tenants.
Do you have truck rentals?
Yes—at two of our storage facilities. Our offices below offer rental trucks.

Do you have storage auctions?
Yes. Although storage auctions aren’t our favorite side of the business, they do happen. Storage unit auctions occur after fulfilling the state lien law procedure of someone who has not made a payment on their unit. Vault Storage’s storage auctions are held on Lockerfox.com. Enter in the zipcode of the storage location to find any upcoming storage auctions.
Can I live in a storage unit?
No. Do not attempt to keep animals inside of storage units or live inside of storage units. It is illegal, as well as extremely dangerous.
When I rent storage online, can I access my storage unit right away?
Yes. The point of our contactless storage rentals is to give you a quick and easy way to rent our storage units from anywhere. When you rent online, you complete the transaction in just a few steps and receive a confirmation email with information on how to access your storage unit. As soon as you get that information, you are free to move into your storage unit.
Can I access my storage unit at any time?
Outside of our normal office hours, our gate hours extend from 6 AM – 10 PM.
